Biblically-based Counseling
As a Marine Corps veteran and a Doctor of Christian Counseling, I have sat across from women with bruises fading on their skin, from veterans haunted by memories they can't put into words, and from elders grieving the slow loss of their own independence. Our Biblically-Based Counseling grew out of those sacred moments-where pain, questions, and faith met at the same table.
We offer spiritual counseling for people walking through trauma, grief, domestic violence, moral injury, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Some arrive angry with God, some barely hanging on to belief, and some simply confused. You do not have to have it all figured out to sit with us. We open Scripture gently, never as a weapon, always as a source of comfort, guidance, and identity. Together we explore what God says about your worth, your safety, your future, and the shame you were never meant to carry.
Sessions are conversational and practical. We pray if you're comfortable, bring in grounded coping tools for flashbacks and panic, and look honestly at patterns of abuse, fear, or family conflict. For survivors of domestic violence, we speak plainly about safety and God's heart for protection-not silence. For veterans, we make space for the weight of service, guilt, and loss without easy clichés. For seniors and caregivers, we talk about aging, regret, and the hope that remains.
Counseling can take place alongside our housing and respite care or as a stand-alone service. Either way, you will be met by someone who understands both discipline and tenderness, structure and compassion. Our goal is not just to help you survive the storm, but to help you recognize the voice of the Shepherd in the middle of it, and to rebuild a sense of peace, purpose, and dignity that no one can take from you.
